Ultimately any item for sale is only worth what someone is willing to pay.
There is virtually no information on the internet regarding second hand 1972 Black Widow HS 58 take down recurve bows. In their day they were a relatively expensive bow, $240.00 US.
Overall condition is probably fair for its age. Small dings in the edges of the limbs have been sanded out and have been resprayed. Paint on the metal riser has some chip marks and the bow lacks the Black Widow decal.
The draw weight is too heavy for me and my children have no interest in it.
Bow box is made from recycled plywood and the hardware is from an old attaché case.
Daryl.

"And you must not stick for a groat or twelvepence more than another man would give, if it be a good bow.
For a good bow twice paid for, is better than an ill bow once broken. [Ascham]

Re: What Value?
G'Day,
Have seen several go this year sell in the states for around $300 USD ($400 AUD).
They were better condition than yours, so probably below that point a bit. Then again as you say, market will decide.

Re: What Value?
Its a Wilson Bros [as mentionned]and based on even earlier wooden model, so B-50 strictly.
BW continued making that model into the early 1990s and ironically was my first from them.
I think cost me 500 USD new.
On Ebay 200+----300 would be right.

A lot of water has passed under the bridge since then.

Maybe it was your bow I lusted after all those many years ago Darryl.
I always thought they had the most beautiful shape and have often wished that BW would bring them back.
Cheers
