Have copied the following from the Twin City Bowmen FB page:

"Twin City Bowmen. - · Yesterday at 09:28" ·
"There is just over a week to go to our Trad Shoot folks! The committee has decided to let wheelie bow shooters participate as well. However seeing as it is an actual traditional shoot. Compound shooters shall have to participate for the fun of the weekend as we follow the TAA rules. Same with anyone who has carbon arrows etc. you are more than welcome but will be inelegance for Scoring / prizes.
The weather man says 29 degrees both Saturday and Sunday ( hope he’s right this time!) with just a slight chance of a shower.... well we need not worry about that as we have our own nice warm showers!! Hope all who are travelling have a safe trip."

cheers

DISAPPOINTING, PATHETIC,FRAUDULENT and DOWNRIGHT SNEAKY !!!
...THESE ARE SOME OF THE THOUGHTS THAT COME TO MIND.....this shoot should immediately be removed from the TRAD shoot calendar as it is no longer such.It becomes like the "Huntingdale" at the Grange(Qld) or Albury's own "Invitational" ie a shoot with some novelties that allows both trad and wheelies-these are rightly not listed as trad shoots as they are NOT,and neither now is this one.
The reason I and others travel to trads(6000km last year for me) is to shoot with like minded people with like minded equipment.I can shoot with wheelies if I so desire at any ABA or 3DAAA or club shoot, but I do not attend these as I do not enjoy them.....so why advertise a trad shoot if it is NOT,especially as Albury already has a "Invitational" shoot usually later in year which allows trads and wheelies. Why not allow the trads their one week-end in whole year, and why such a late"change" when people sometimes plan and look forward to these for months.
So disappointing to not catch up with the good trad shooters of Albury and their great food-but this is no longer a trad shoot.

Have been advised in the last couple of minutes its a Trad Shoot Only, NO COMPOUNDS. Aparently a communication stuf up. The Albury / Wodonga opoogise for the Stuff Up, It is a Full Blown Trad Shoot, so go and enjoy yourself Folks.
Still in bed with one rather messed up Knee, have tubes fitted to drain excess fluid and try and dry the knee out.
Cheers Roadie

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
In Regards to TWIN CITY BOWMENS TRAD SHOOT....unfortunately there has been an error made. The Traditional shoot will be for TRADITIONAL EQUIPMENT ONLY. A suggestion was made to let Compounders Shoot however it was not passed by committee, it was a misunderstanding but unfortunately compounders won’t be eligible to shoot. Apologies to you all and sincere apologies to the TRADITIONAL ARCHERY FRATERNITY for the balls up. My deepest apologies. Please still come and have a great weekend... and again my deepest apologies.
Thank you.

Momentary insanity is frightening.

Ahhh Now a breath of fresh air. Traditional is naturally ..... natural.

SO HAPPY to hear that there was a momentary stuff-up/miscommunication re equip allowed at this shoot.Spoke with Zoran(club president I believe) and he was also mortified at the post re wheelies allowed. He assured me that this shoot was ALWAYS intended to be trad only-as it has been and hopefully will remain.
So VERY glad to be going again now and look forward to catch up with all.....and see Zoran's new Osage self-bow!
