There has been a dramatic change in the weather for the better in the Logan/Gold Coast areas, solar panels actually generating electricity.

Beautiful day today - one tiny outbreak of showers - didn't stop us at the practice butts having a fun time. Many camps now set up - one car only needing to be pulled from a bog (front wheel drives are no good on soft wet ground as one young fella found out today.... oops)
only 1 sleep to go..... woohoo
Most who arrived today have managed to squeeze in up the top, so now we are surrounded and have Ronster and Sue for very close neighbours. Haven't seen the Kilt yet - thank goodness.
Have a great weekend everyone, we all plan too.
cheers

GGGRRR. I should be down there myself, instead of sitting here feeling sorry for myself. One day I will learn that chinese riding boots [thongs] are not good safety boots. Have fun you lot.

Yeah, live it up you lucky people!
There is no use focusing on aiming if you don't execute the shot well enough to hit what your are aiming at.

What a great weekend.
No real rain while on the range, only last nite while trying to sleep.
Had a great tea as well.
See you all again next year.

Scattered clouds and a flock of low flying pigeons could not dampen the spirits of the 124 people who signed on at the North Albert Traditional Rendezvous.
Of those who attended there were 104 registered competitors.
Considering the extreme weather conditions prior to the shoot the numbers were very pleasing.
Thanks go to Coffs Coast Archery Club, Mount Petrie Bowmen, Darling Downs Field Archers, Centenary Archers and all those who travelled long distances to attend the two day shoot.
Once again a well organized canteen supplied ample food and refreshments for the duration of the event.
Summing up I believe a great weekend was had by all.
Photos and final scores will be posted in a few days time.

really pleased to hear the shoot still ended up a big success, even allowing for the rain. I truly wish I could have made it but was under doctor's orders not to get my foot wet and for once i actually obeyed, although i still went down to my workshop.

What a grand weekend we had. Two field courses full of 3D targets, Hunt Round, speed round, rolling disks, running pig and bow bird and not a drop of rain whilst shooting. Many smiling faces, lots of laughter, beaut meals and jolly good company.
North Albert Trad shoot is definitely a must - so mark your calendars for next easter - rain or shine.
Here are the scores for the weekend and I shall put up some photo's when I retrieve them from my camera.
cheers

There's some good photos there. Thanks to the people who found the time to take them and to post them. It looks like it would have been an excellent shoot.
