Another great traditional shoot.
Thanks to Robert, Diane, Simon, Narelle, Jim and all the helpers who contributed to a successful weekend.
Although it rained a fair bit for the trip down the weather gods provided near perfect weather for Saturday and Sunday.
Cheers,
Daryl.

Re: 2015 TRADITIONAL ARCHERY GET-TO-GETHER 14&15 MARCH
Once again a great shoot with many events and lots and lots of arrows shot over the weekend. It was great to catch up with people we used to shoot with when we were in Sydney who have enjoyed their first Trad shoot.
There were 23 Qld archers, 5 Victorians, 3 from S.A. and 2 all the way from Germany. I believe it was the biggest Wisemans shoot so far and the promise of more for next year.
I have attached a couple of photos we took before the battery decided to malfunction and also the scores. Some of the scoresheets were not entered as there was incomplete information.
Many thanks to Rob for all his hard work around the courses and to the girls in the kitchen who kept everyone fed.
Will post next years date as soon as I have it.
cheers

Some photos of the Challenge Round [spot the target] taken by Jeni.
The natural back stop was not kind on arrows.

Very picturesque Daryl. Definitely a challenge alright. Our tackle suppliers must love these sorts of shots.
I hope you weren't shooting your good Wallace Woods.
Thanks for posting them.

There is no use focusing on aiming if you don't execute the shot well enough to hit what your are aiming at.

The photo's do give a good idea of the angles required for shooting at the targets on the escarpment. The biggest challenge of the Challenge Round is getting up to the course. Some were more successful than others. We came back will all 3 arrows intact. Perhaps we will see you there one year Mick along with the other Victorian shooters.?

Mick, I did most of the events but my back was not up to the steep climb, returned home with a full quiver.Mick Smith wrote:I hope you weren't shooting your good Wallace Woods.
Yes it is, an excellent venue for a trad shoot.Mick Smith wrote:Very picturesque Daryl.
Last of the photos: Light aircraft are a regular occurrence on Sundays, Daryl.

Brilliant photos!
We will have to come down and have a go, we have never shot at Robs before so it's got to be done!
