I was lucky enough to attend this event in Korea and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I had never seen so many different types of bows, arrows, quivers, armguards or ways of shooting a bow
It makes you appreciate the sheer ingenuity of our ancestors in developing bows perfectly suited to their environment and needs.
Shooting with Mongolian Archers in full battle dress was a personal favourite which could only be topped if the next festival were to be held in Mongolia itself.
Would encourage all traditionalists to consider attending this festival next year if the opportunity arises.

Life will fly if held too lightly!
Tightly, lightly, how do you know?

The trip would have been fantastic Regina, I thought hard when Bede posted the invitation here.
Did you take any photos whilst you were there?
Fancy sharing a room with Hilary Greenland . I look forward to a selfbow buildalong when you return from Germany or at least photos . Steve

Hi Steve,
I was lucky that most of the other Archers had really good cameras and took lots of photos. I've attached a few of them, including Hilary shooting her English Longbow. The tall Woman next to me is Maren and she is shooting a self made Alemannic Bow, a replica of bows found in a grave dating 10,000 BC.

Love the photos.
All those Asiatics to drool over. So many bows to build... so little time.
I hope you got Hilary to autograph one of your bows.
