To Anyone that recieves the Archery Action magazine, I have to appologise that we do not have an advert in the mag, due to loss of mail they did not recieve the add.

So if wish to attend our Gathering on the June long weekend, and you did not get an invite, please let me know so that catering can be finalized by the end of May.Otherwise, just turn up, there should be enough,( I hope)

See you all there :)

Trish

Trish - and this applies to any others who wish their shoot etc. to be advertised - send me the details in email form and I'll send it to the Ozbow list, if you wish.

cheers,

Erron

holy crap, what a weekend! :D

first things first..... Did anyone see Erron? :?
Where were ya mate?! :P I had a handshake and a mug o' shine waitin' for ya! :D

Was a top shoot, 3D, Flu Flu, running pig, wand shoot, broad head range and a speed round. I especially enjoyed the demo on how to 'foot' arrow shafts. The medieval re-enactors were a crack up, beltin each other with axes! :D

I met up with Mr. Kimber and his family. great guy, easy to talk to. Great opportunity to put a face to a name. (couple more compliments and i get a discount on one of them curves  :P )

Erron, you gotta plan your whole next 12 months around that weekend my friend. you wont regret it.

cheers

Buford, you have me convinced!

Sounds like the best of times, to me. Even a broadhead round. Running pig, flu flu... too much fun :)

Where's my calendar...

Met them last year at Murwillumbah trad shoot ,what a crack up those guys were,They were right into self bows .Maybe they should be on ozbow as the had some great bows they had made
(promised them we would be down but thing didn't work out )
May have to try for next year so as to meet a few of you guys .

Don't know about the spry young fella bit Erron, the cold down that way was making the bones feel more like an old mans.

Good few photos Matt, The fella with me on the bow bird is Pete Rogers with his Osage selfbow (Dotty I think he calls her). Pete also put on some flint napping (spelling?) demos. He is not only a talented selfbowyer, artist with pencil and paper but also creates some beautiful napped arrows and knives.

Also, the fella in the last photo of the previous post is another well known gent in trad archery/bowhunting Howard O'Conner. Howard as a lot would know is also a talented bowyer. Another of his skills I found out is camp game cookery. As well as Fallow deer and Rabbit I was served up my first taste/meal of Sambar. Top food, top hospitality.

Once I have had a chance to sort through the photos from the last two weeks I will have a few more to post from the shoot.
