I look forward to being there but I am not sure if the World masters are still going on on the Saturday.
Recommend this shoot as being one of the great shoots of the year.

Twang the string...I would've loved to attend, but have the ABA H-division States the same weekend at Ballarat.

BMB-Mal don't worry about Ballarat come with rest of the degenerates you met at lilydale from the southern state. MR& Mrs Strinstik and Co (Symond clan), Steven Georgiou, Gavin Downs( White Starling Hawk), Tim Everitt (Timbow, is that a Black Widow) Tony Justice (Trad "Broken Arras" Bound) it will be a laugh.

Hey hey Trad'...

All I can say is that I've commited already to Ballarat. But then again - my wife is on the cusp of trying archery again [last time high school] and doing an introductery course [BMB], and furthermore, is also up for camping at Ballarat - so hopefully the next shoot, you may have 2 extras' :)

MR& Mrs Strinstik and Co (Symond clan), Steven Georgiou, Gavin Downs( White Starling Hawk), Tim Everitt (Timbow, is that a Black Widow) Tony Justice (Trad "Broken Arras" Bound)

Ahhh...I can put a face to them all except perhaps Tim! Sort that next time.

I believe the next 'trad' event is November at Geelong?

Excellent! Thanks Trad'...I'll be keeping an eye on this forum for the flyer / dates etc. Hopefully it wont clash with our club shoot on the first Sunday of the month at the 'Marsh'.

If it does...thankfully Whitehawk Gav' has released details for the Clout shoot on the 21st of Nov' - so I'll be able to get a fix anyway. But hope beyond hope that I can make Morwell as well.

*Excellent this would be the Great Southern Tournament 2009. Have downloaded the flyers and I do believe I may be able to make this shoot.
** Twang it - I Jumped the string - club shoot on the Sunday...maybe, perhaps, aaaiiii I gotta support my club.
*** Need to confirm, but my club shoot may go NOT be going ahead.

Great work Mark,
I am thinking of using the timer for a night shoot on saturday evening.
Also the popinjay tower is standing and has had a good work out,
you will need to bring flu flu arrows with rubber blunts.
I am also thinking of adding both of these events into the whole weekend.

I believe we are seeing you (Mark & Jacki +) on wed.

Stephen,
see you on friday, the last place to buy gas for you vechile is either Windsor or Dural.

safe travelling

regards Robert

Wow what an event. congratulation Wisemans Ferry crew. Particularily the hosts Rob and Dianne. What can i say Timbow and i raved all 11 hours back to Melbourne and we believe the best ever event we have attended.
The event is a must on the events calender, the scenery is to die for, the variety events let me try a list them. A target round, a clout round , poppin jay, a running pig, a variation of flu flu with foam discs rolling on the ground, a 30 sec speed round with 3d, a 1 minute hunter round with 3d, the best ever 20 target field course with a variety of target styles each target requiring 3 shots from different locations all spread amoungst the bush and sandstone setting and if you could fit in a night round as well. Tim and I shot with Mr and Mrs Wallace (Sue and Steve) and we had a hoot. Between the rounds and just plain good old fashion shooting I estimate I shot 400 + arrows and for those who would question my arrow breakin ability 2 only and one was a must have ago at the 3d cat in a tree with a sandstone backing. You will see some of these with a Lilydale twist at next year 3D Trad Event.

Wisemans Ferry and Rob and Diannes property is just magic, the company many of which write or view here well what could you say, the sharing, the story telling ( Steve Georgiou), the equipment( Steve(the one tune man de de dum) and Sues gear, Nic's Bows, Nuts1 3d, John McDonalds shop, Stingstiks electronic lights and Mr Caravan himself Mark Harvey with the rolling shop), the food, drinking, the laughs you lot are a group of degenerates and I'm proud to be part of it. By the way for Blonde moments thank you to Sue W, she is priceless.
Food what Di and the other ladies produce was brilliant. The creme carmel was heaven. The facilities were really good. I must say Robert you are the ultimate Scrounger I award you the Sir Steptoe honour.

A must visit!!! You are on the list. THANK YOU.
Not so many Broken Arras
Cheers TonyJ

Great shoot Robert and Co.
Love that popinjay.
One of the best field courses going.
I just get a handle on up close rolling discs and you move us back to not so close.
Great to see the Mexicans, Canadians and other desperates.

JCM
metal discs is ok.
I do have a number of needle nosed bodkins.
Your blank arrow shaft sales would go up if we were closer to the action and if the back drop was made of stone?

I can only concur with what has already been said. An amazing event, stunning surroundings and most of all some real fine people to spend a weekend with. The variety of events was challenging and exciting, we may steal a few ideas for our southern shoots! The ladies in the kitchen did an amazing job and worked so hard all weekend so we didn't have to. Thank you to you all.

Was great to meet some of our Northen trad shooters, and ozbowers, Nick Linton and Guy Layton, John McDonald and a host of others I had heard of but not met in person, all of whom made me feel right at home. Always great to catch up with Steve and Sue we always have a great laugh!

I would save my final thank you for the outstandingly generous hospitality of Rob and Diane who threw open their doors to us all and made us feel like we were home. Diane my sincere thanks for the ferry service, you know you need only ring ahead for the same when you guys come down here next.

Still on a high from a totally fantastic weekend, the east coast trad scene is looking healthier than ever. Put this on your calendar if you do no other next year.

sincere thanks
