Help Wanted

#1 Post by hue » Wed Apr 29, 2009 8:54 pm

Now i know the people on this forum can be really, really friendly and helpful!
now that i've buttered you up and got your attention, i'm going to ask a real small favour and i can really only ask the guys in the melbourne metropolitan area for their help on this.
i'm working with a young lady at present who is showing real promise and is very keen to shoot longbow and she really loves her archery, problem is, she has never shot a longbow as yet.
now, we are practicing with a 35 lbs club recurve and the time draws nigh to purchasing a longbow, but we have never shot one and i would like her to! it would be extremely galling if she bought one and didn't like it.
my request is this
is anyone out there willing to lend me a 35 - 40 lb longbow for a short period of time so that she can get an idea of what it feels to shoot a longbow.
i will pick up and deliver when finished!
any damage is covered by my word to repair/replace

do i have any takers Ozbow?

Hue

ps - right handed!

I know I am out of area but will be down your way in a few weeks.

Leftie or rightie?
A good bot would provide more info.
By the way, good on you.

Hue, if you felt like driving to Geelong on Sunday to our 3D club shoot, we have a 40# Internature Viper longbow as a club bow that you would be able to use on the day. It's just a small club shoot which will be held at Jarvis Oval Deakin University. Of course, you would be more than welcome to come, as would anyone else for that matter.

It starts at 1pm and will go until around 5pm or so.

Mick
There is no use focusing on aiming if you don't execute the shot well enough to hit what your are aiming at.

Mate i hope you can find one. I've got a 45 # if you want to borrow it but I think it will be just a little too much.
