Hi All,

White Company are holding their first annual Hawkwoods Feast on the 28th & 29th of August this will include archery on the Saturday
Target, Wand and Clout rounds. White company is a medieval group based in the 14th Century, you all know a lot of our faces from the Southern Series events ( check out the oz bow pic from Lilydale if you have forgotten me) , Michelle, John & the three Kids, Micheal & Jo and their 2 children and of course you all know Sir John ( Sven). So come explore the Other Side of traditional archery.

So please come along have a fun day and support us. We aim to have a lot of traders there and we are having a feast on the Saturday night medieval style which I encourage you all to join in on, based on our Yule feast the food will be good and plentiful. There is camping available for anyone who drinks too much port and you can stay for some of the sunday and watch the other events. Join in the workshops we might even have an arrow making workshop.

At: The Old Cheese Factory, 34 Homestead Road, Berwick, VIC 3806,
Date: 29th and 30th August 2009

The White Company will be holding an event which includes not only a feast with entertainment but Archery events, workshops, intergroup training and skirmishes, many traders, and a large battle on the Sunday. The feast will be held on the Saturday night with a pork and beef spit roast and many period dishes to suit all tastes! There will be a bar and entertainment will include: Fire breathers, jugglers, music and a belly dancing troop.

Food & Drinks: Will be available all day on both days.
Alcohol: Will be available after 1700hrs on Saturday and all night.
Cost: Attendance to the Traders Fair is free.
Feast: Tickets before 1st August: Adults $25, under 15 free. Please make Cheques payable to: The White Company & post it to Leah Aubert, 13 Drummond Rd, Seville, Vic, 3139
Accommodation: There is ample space for tents and caravans at no cost.

The only sword that I have is a samurai sword (not sharpened) and a wooden tai chi sword... not sure how either of them would stand up to traditional longswords not to mention that when it comes to fighting, I might get carried away and start pulling some taekwondo moves out... again, not very traditional for the midievil times...

Hue,

Leah has a belly dancing skirt especially ready for you. The boys have the video Camera organised.

I think we may have a special video showing of the closing show from Abbey Sunday afternoon if the boys can get it to work, they did such a good job it was very funny.

Roll up and get your tickets folks and bring your money - we have some very good traders coming down after we spoke to them at Abbey.

Thamk you to all of those that braved the rain with us to have a go at our archery, and I hoped you enjoyed the cabbages.

We did award some trophies,

Len won the Fruit shoot - Knights division
Jo Somerfield won the Fruit shoot - Ladies Division
Ben Newboult won the Fruit Shoot - Pages division

Andrew Stoops was the only one to score in the clout competition

thanks Michelle, twas a tad sad on the weather but we cant control these things. What we lost in the archery we gained at the feast. Great to see that people can have fun despite the conditions.
