As a member of this club this should be a great event. Given there are a number of Trad members we are looking forward to many visitors from far and wide. If you haven't been there before its in the eastern suburbs at the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges. Set in bush land. 40 minutes fron CBD. As Duane says you can camp or its not far to Motels in Ringwood , Wantirna or Bed and Breakfasts on the Mountain.
I hope to see you there.

If you have not shot the Dandenong course's guys this is a real treat. One thing that is so noticable about Lilydale Bowmen is they embrace and support the Trad shooter scene. The Reinharts are real gentle on the woods and my experiance of the shoots has been challanging but realistic placements. The animals are set up on solid adjustable angle bases best method ive seen no shake or movement real solid. Not to be missed this one. 100 3Ds 8) 8) .
Great camping...good facility.

Count me in. I've been hearing all sorts of good stuff about the Lilydale Bowmen and their magnificant grounds, so I suppose I'll just have to check it out for myself. :D

There is no use focusing on aiming if you don't execute the shot well enough to hit what your are aiming at.

Nev/MIck/Timbow...sure will be great to have you onboard....I feel this will be a great gathering for the Trads. Hopefully a few of the Back Griffins will make the pilgrimage to this one.

Hey Tony, I'll try to 'light the fire' in the desires of some other Black Griffins to attend this shoot.

I'm sure we will get some takers. :D

Brilliant response guys. Looking forward to having as many of you there. Karaoke now I will try many things but oh no singing the only thing that I can hold a tune with is my socks when they are humming. I was at the club tonight I plan to bring some info to the Morwell weekend.
Looking forward to LB 100

THIS IS GOING TO BE HUGE

Now for those that are attending this shoot please note ......
If you have been a past member of A.B.A OR have shot A.B.A before you will have to join A.B.A again IF YOU are no longer a member. :?

IF on the other hand you have never shot/been a member you may simply sign the visitors book and you will be covered. :D

P.S This is simply an insurance issue and i hope that you will understand..

cheers Gary. ps if you require some info or perhaps not sure on something just p/m me and i will try to assist you. :)

I normally shoot AA.
I use almost centre shot flat laid laminated longbow, under chin, mediterranean release, with bowsling [not attached to the bow], timber arrows five inch hellicals 125 grain field points......is all that kocher for this event?

Looks like a nice chance to meet up with some of you southern folk.

Kevin
never complain....you did not have to wake up....every day is an extra bonus and costs nothing.

What I would like to know is ,, how the hell are you fellas going to know if someone was a past member ? Do you do a check on every archer ?

We will simply ask the question and expect a truthfull answer other than that i cannot do anything else... how ever if an archer is found to be a past member the insurance for that person will be withdrawn and aske to rejoin or leave.

why do you have to rejoin if youve been a past member and if you never joined it dosnt matter seems like double standards to me.

There will be classes for all, if its a bow that shoots arrows you will be welcome. :D

Sorry Nev :( , being an ABA affiliated club our hands are tied on that one. Please don't blame Lilydale Bowmen, we have tried our best to make it as open as possible, those were the conditions placed apon us. :|

gazzwah,

As you have pointed out, it is an ABA problem and not an insurance problem. Other Clubs and associations use the very same insurance (or at least last time I heard they did) and visitors just pay a small fee for coverage for any particular shoot. ABA refuse to do this which is pathectic IMO and it just makes it difficult for clubs such as yours. :x
