thanks Tony, this years events have been great so far and were only half way through the year... we still have more battle clout, more trad events, and the great southern to look forward too... it would seem we have created quite an exciting little (or not so little anymore!) community for ourselves down here...

hey Gavin

fantastic effort on the magazine, great to read. However, i do take umbrage at one sentence in the mag. do not give Southern Fox any latitude, he didn't "bend the rules", he snuck in and shot at a lesser distance because his "grunty" longbow couldn't make the distance. i'll be on his team at Leongatha and i'm far to competative to allow that to happen again. I"LL BE WATCHING HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can't brake or bend rules that don't exist. In a true battle you are not required to operate at just one distance. This was to represent a battle as close as you could get. I just shot in the spirit of the event. Rule bender indeed! Tish!

I believe the yarra bowmen traditional shoot scheduled for Sept. has been cancelled for this year.
