The 3D Pacific Championships will be held at Hinterland Field Archers on the Gold Coast on the 28th and 29th of June. We are expecting over 200 shooters, including around 40 Kiwis making the trip from our most Eastern State (or their West Island, depending on how you view the world). The Sunday afternoon Aussie vs. Kiwi shoot off will be chance to see who really is the best in the Pacific.
Five ranges will be open for the weekend, 30 Targets Saturday and 20 Sunday, with one range set wholly and solely with “Critters†targets.
Shoot Fees for the weekend are $30 Adult $20 Junior $80 Family Cubs Free Nominations will be taken Friday night and Saturday morning All Non 3DAAA members are welcome to shoot non competitive or join 3DAAA to compete $35 Adult $25 Junior $75 Family
Catering will run from Friday night until Sunday lunchtime, with a BBQ on Friday night, bacon and egg rolls for brekkie, steak sandwiches, toasted sandwiches and pies for lunches, as well as a delicious three course meal on Saturday night all at a reasonable price. There will be some great raffle prizes on the table with some generous donations from archery shops and local businesses.
3D Pacific Championship t-shirts will be available for sale for $40 each. Limited camping is available at the club but if anyone wants to find accommodation close by try Labrador, Ashmore, Southport or Nerang.
Hinterland Field Archers is located on Hymix Road at Gaven (UBD Reference: Map 27, D6). If you are coming Northbound on the M1 take the Smith Street Exit (exit 66). At the first set of lights go straight through onto Heslop Rd. Take the first left onto Hymix Road, follow it until you go under an overpass and Hinterland’s driveway will be on your left.
If you are coming Southbound on the M1 take the Smith Street Exit (exit 66) then take the first left onto Smith Street, following the Gaven signs. Go straight through the first two sets of lights (staying in the right hand lane). Turn right at the third set of lights into Heslop Rd. Take the first left at Hymix Road, follow it until you go under an overpass and Hinterland’s driveway will be on your left.
This should be an excellent weekend and a great chance to kick some Kiwi butt and show them what the Aussies can really do!!
