Nepean Bowhunters (Sydney) 3D Archery this Sunday 18th May
Hello fellow bow benders,
The Nepean Bowhunters are holding their first 3D Archery Event at their
new home this Sunday 18th May 08.
It will be held at the Sydney International Shooting Centre (SISC) on Elizabeth Drive at Cecil Park - this is a great centrally located spot for most Sydney siders.
Kick off time will be 9am and will involve 3 rounds of 10 targets with a sausage sizzle at midday.
Cost for the day is $15 for members of Nepean Bowhunters, $20 for non-members and free for non shooting Visitors.
Park in the main parking area in front of the SISC complex , sign in and pay at the SISC shop, then follow the signs to the 3D range.
Traditional archers more than welcome.
Any queries call Adam on 9558 1513
See you there

It sounds good. Can you give us a bit more warning for your next one. Have Wagga ABA this weekend, but reckon your venue is only 2 and a half hours from my place and would like to shoot some 3D there in the future.

Dear Hawko
Our prices have been the same for 7 years and now being able to use all the great facitities of the Sydney International Shooting Centre we needed to raise them by $5, you are the first one to complain and we had 40 people turn up on the day.
I don't know if the other clubs include lunch, also the day ran from 9am to 3pm.
All the money made goes back into improving the club and promoting bowhunting so its money well spent i think.
We will be at the having a stand at this weekends SHOT Expo (shooting, hunting and outdoor trades) 24th & 25th May 08, at the Sydney Showgrounds Homebush - Hall 4.
There will 87 exibitors so it should be quite good, drop by and say hello.

Dear Brumbies Country
Sorry about the short notice on the 3D shoot, we will be having our next 3D shoot on the 15th June 08.
There is cheap accomodation at the Sydney International Shooting Centre for $25 per night per person, if you don't feel like doing the long drive in the morning. Contact Claudia at the SISC - 9826 2380 re accomodation bookings.

Really appreciate you getting back to me. That accomodation is certainly very reasonable. That again clashes with the zone ABA/3D shoot. Are you holding them regularly on the third weekend of the month, or some variation from that down the track?
Cheers

Adam,
the first time I set out to go to your shoot that trouble brewed up.
Great to see that you have a new home.
I would love to come and have a go. Couple of other longbowers from Mountain Archers might be interested too.
What are the requirements for longbowers? Type of arrows etc.
How many arrows do you shoot per target?
If you start at 9 am do we have gear inspection prior to 9 am?
are children welcome?

Hi Jamie
Again it clashes for me with an ABA weekend (Tumut), however as you normally shoot the second Sunday and the ABA weekend is normally the third of the month I hope to get to one of your days soon.
We are out of public holidays for a while now.
Cheers
