If the nights are cold, would it be ok for a small campfire.

I was thinking of bringing a 44 gallon drum cut in half, long ways, for the fire, and a small trailer of firewood.

I will leave no trace of it when we go home. :D

I think everyone should get stuck into the port again this year. Comparitively speaking, my scores the next morning were much better than what they had been. The hangovers reduced the performance of some top competitors way back down to my levels. :D

My hint to anyone attending this shoot for the first time and intending to camp .... bring plenty of warm sleeping gear.

G'day to all the above post that I have not already answered.

I am very glad to see so many post's after seeing this site so quiet for so long. We are looking foward to the weekend 9/10 Aug. It seem we arn't the only ones getting a bit of a cool spell but I am sure we will all enjoy it. May be a campfire and a splash of rumport here and there to keep warm at night.
Thank you all

Looking foward to the challenge

Hi Guys
Between the cold, the port, the food and the company, oh and the reputation of this event I will be there with bells on. I will be there friday night and will be happy to partake of the fine dining provided over the weekend. See you there

Its funny how social excitment can influence the process of shooting.I Remember a Ballarat comp' where I surfaced after mass celebration. I swear my eyeballs were touching the group 4's next morning. Shot the best scores for the the first 10 ever before dehydration leveled me.

Well folks, I'm looking forward to meeting up with you all again this year. 8)

I think we had better pack our raincoats as they've forcast showers for over the weekend. Actually the showers might be beneficial, if they keep those heavy frosts at bay. :D

Hopefully we will have long periods of good productive weather between the showers.

See you on Saturday morning.

A big well done to the Golden Triangle Archers for providing us all with yet another highly successful and enjoyable weekend.

The atmosphere at Dunolly is like belonging to a huge family. It's no wonder it was the biggest trad shoot in Victoria so far this year. It was a great shoot fellas. 8)

It was great to catch up with old and new friends again too.

Thanks to everyone who made it possible. :D

Hear hear Mick
Well said. The company and friendship was warm, the laughter was great, the food abundant, the wine flowed  , the weather well it rained and it rained (they need it) and then it was so cold, tent zippers froze shut and car doors had to be prized open. I had iciles going up in the air on my car roof!!! But on went the great Trad spirit, well done Dunolly crew. It was great to put faces to of the Oz bow names. See you at the next event.

Can only endorse the comments of Mick/TonyJ....that was a grand outing and all hail to The Golden Triangle Archers and support crew. Great company great food great people. I am sure Andy got his course layout training at Madam Zolta's punishment centre . It is also great to experiance the generosity of the Trad Archer circle...thanks again Blakey for helping me out on the two pieces.....much appreciated mate. Tony J/Steve ...did you see the snow on the West end of Macedon I thought I was heading towards the Alps :? .
