Some really great like minded folk. Not one unhappy or unfriendly face among a hundred.
Jessie is still over the moon. She will not take her hat off....fair enough too. She really enjoyed herself and has marked our calendar for next year.
We really learnt a lot and met and made some new mates. Great to put some faces to more of the Ozbow crew.
I would love to see a special Ozbow rogues gallery pix of members.

I say to those who haven't made up their mind to go to do so.

Just watch out for the aggressive trees. They jump out in front of your broadheads on the broadhead range but only when Trish is taking pix.

Not trying to make extra work, but please consider producing your image slide show on CD for general sale to members and guests. That video of the shoot out would be nice too, if the owner agreed.

Thanks again.

Kevin and Jessie.

Kevin I enjoyed shooting with you,Jesse and Steve.
I took my camera but forgot the battery which was still at home in the charger.
The kids shot well and Joe was happy with the way he shot this time and it was his first time with a longbow aswell.I think he got a certificate but will find out from Trevor who stayed for the presentation.I just finished a 10 hour shift on a public holiday (ka ching)so I had to leave earlier
Hope to see you next year or at the barebow challenge at wisemans ferry in october.

Jeff

I would like to thank all that travelled from as far away as Dunolly, the Blue Mountains, ACT,Central West,South Coast, Central Coast, etc, etc..........
They as well as the H.V.T.A. Crew had a tremendous time.

The wet weather prior to the Gathering was a little scary, we didn't think it would happen to us again, but the skies did clear a little and we had FUN. And that's what it's all about, having a good time with no pressure from anyone.

It was good to put faces to names, you are a great bunch of fine people and look forward to seeing you at out 10th Gatherig next year.

When the photo's are finally put on this site by Gnome, you will enjoy them and see that the dampness didn't phase anyone.

I will place the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place getters a little later on this morning.

Once again thank you to all.

Trish.

Firstly let me say thank you to everyone that came to "The Gathering" and for a great time had by all. It was said that I was way Quieter than in previous years and as you all know there is a reason for this but again I thank all who know and help share the load.

For the record,

Longbow Steve won the men’s “Top 5 Shoot out” by the narrowest of margins (less than an arrow thickness between the two and a very fine shot to boot. You deserve the Cap and Trophy.

Jeff Graham was the highest overall score for The Gathering with 400pts and Howard O’Connell with 365pts in the Men’s Recurve division.

Laurel Brunker was the highest overall score for "The Gathering" with 215pts In the Womans Recurve devision.

Men’s Longbow;………Equal 1st Les Simpson (Uncle Les) and Scott Lutschini (Scuzz) on 365pts, 2nd Steve Farrell (Longbow Steve) on 355 pts and Nick Lintern (Attitude Adjuster) on 335pts.

Female Longbow Cub 1st place Jessie Girard with 155pts

Jessie is the second only Cub female with 155pts (no male Cubs as yet) to make it to the "Top 5 Shoot out" in the eight years it has been running and she deserves to be smiling with such a great effort. I would love to see her make it there again next year too.

Well here we go there is quite a few photo's coming but less than half of what I have.

To all you hard working down to earth club members.

The HVTA gathering was an absolutly fantastic event and enjoyed by all those who attended..

Even the Mexicans,, Especialy the Mexicans who have since gone past signs to Toronto, Brooklyn, Tennessee and they crossed the southern border into Mexico at 7.oopm and arrived home around 11oopm..

And to all those who didn't attend there is another bigger and even better 10th trad shoot in the planing for next year.

I am looking foward to compeeting there next year

To all the HVTA members,

What a great weekend of archery events you came up with and a fantastic venue you have there. We all agreed the thirteen hour drive up there was well worth while and if I get the chance I will be back again next year for your 10th Trad shoot..Yes we were back south of the border last night at 7.oopm and home a little after 11.oopm... The photo's are great .

Hoping to catch up with some of you at Morwell..
Hi all, have had no rain in 48hrs :o expecting an excellent weekend good turn up already. Hope to see you all.
Trish
This is definately the LAST POST!!!!
I hope a good time was had by all - as usual.
One of the wife's family decided to have their wedding on the 'Gathering Weekend'- so that threw a spanner in the works - I have spoken to Towball about the possibility of calling in some other weekend during the year.

Regards to the team
