WORLD MASTERS GAMES SYDNEY 2009
Thought I would bring it to your attention, Archery and more importantly longbow is included. Fita and Ifaa field aswell as clout.
The age categories start at 30-39 so even young handsome guys like myself can compete.
You can pre register your interest in the event on the website.

Got off my tail and found a website and can answer my own questions:

Longbow is to be shot under Archery Australia rules so will be able to use aluminiums in clout .
Will be interesting to see if AA rules apply to IFAA where the rules stipulate wooden arrows.

From the immediately preceding post.
I tend to agree and thanks for that.
This makes more sense.

Certainly an IFAA class these days Jason and I noticed big entries in a European comp last year. Not in the ABA rulebook I got within the last year and other than longbows haven't seen other trad bows at ABA comps in Sourthern NSW. Unlike AA, longbows seem not to be on the increase in ABA comps.danceswithdingoes wrote:Historical is an ABA/IFAA class isnt it?
