I'm just wondering a few things as I've never gone to one of these before.
1. Is that $25 per person to just get in and look around?
2. Is there primitive shooting taking place everyday if so what times?
3. What days and times are the bow making and flint napping workshops on?

Sorry if the questions sound dumb, I just want to know how to plan things like what day to go and if my wife will come along.

hey Gnome.
this is Joe aka dinkum's son. i don't think i will be able to film at the gathering this time due to that all the end of year films are being made at tafe...i think dad aka dinkum might of said something about it to you.

I'll try to film whatever i can on the Saturday.

day of the event, sitting at home surfing about. First time in 4 months I decide to checkin with ozbow and see if I can rekindle my desire for archery and hunting.
The wheelie bow is the only bow getting exercise and that's sporatic and average at best, more holes in paper..weeeeeeeeeee.
Scrolling through the forums, .....nice horse shot......nice squirrel pic....Wonder how my 'cat in the potplant' scored........Hmmm events.....

"Hey Honey, there's that event up in the Hunter again", I said half heartedly

"Yeah......when's is start?"

"about an hour and a half"

"I could visit my dad.....we could be there in 2 hours", she prompts.

"Narr I'm not prepared", says I stoicly clinging onto my couch.

10 minutes later I'm typing this whilst woofing down my tea, she's jumped on me and blocked my view of the poota screen saying that I've got 5mins to get a clean pair of jocks and my bow and **** or she's going without me.

Arrrrg! now the blood's pounding, life's beckonning, I'm running about looking for bits and tabs and that bloody armguard. I'm off! adventures await.....Hold on to your hats. I'm COMING!

might be a bit late though...

Wish my misses was so keen for me to go to shoots , normally she hamstrings me by spending all my money .

Hope The Gathering part 2 is going well for all at the HVTA . regards Perry

Well as a novelty we were having shots from next to the ute when no one was there,I reckon it was about a 45 metre shot to the pig next to the backing.usually its from the big log.

Yeh his bow was old and not in the best condition so ill get him something nicer this time.

Yes a good time was had by all and the picks show this. The weather was cool nights with mild to very warm windy/dusty days. Thank you to every one who turned out. Hear is what my wife and daughter took over the weekend. Enjoy.
