Paul,

Is the shoot still being held on the long weekend as you say? Keith Forrester told me the other day that he was notified that the date was changed because of the IFAA World Titles being on the same weekend. :?

Thanks.

Jeff

The muster will be on the long weekend in June and will always be that weekend. someone started a rumour at the last muster
that the dates for muster would change for the IFAA Titles but as you know the shooters that come to the muster are not the kind that would go to the titles   so why change the date.

Paul,

That is good to hear and as you say I don't think there would be too many of the Muster shooters that would be going to the IFAA shoot. Hope all goes well with the Muster.

Paul, still haven't received any info with respect to the Muster and the offer to put details on the nzarchery.com site still stands. Have posted some details on another shoot we are launching for Easter Saturday. The NZ Traditional Archery Classic. It will be an annual event and the timing may suit some of you folk better than the end of January Rendezvous.

Gladstone Archery tournament

#15 Post by Kiwi Di » Sat May 06, 2006 1:12 pm

Hello Oz,

Bob and I are heading back to Gladstone this year for another awesome weekend. Heard of any others from Kiwi land coming over, I know there's a few who can't make it this year.
Has the world's had any affect on the numbers???

look forward to shooting Gladstone again with my new Steve Wallace arrows!!

Wood Only

#19 Post by kimall » Sun May 14, 2006 4:19 pm

I know there is a wood arrow only rule but is that only for the compertition or for the whole w/end in general.I cant seam to get any woods spined heavy enough for the 70# Defiant.I got a doz sent to me but they where only just stiff enough for the 56# but I would rather shoot the big girl if I could.

for kimall

#20 Post by stickbender » Sun May 14, 2006 6:30 pm

IF you wish to enter the hawk eye you must use the same bow that you have used for the rounds But you can use another bow for the novelty's that is not added to your scores for the shoot.

#22 Post by kimall » Sun May 14, 2006 7:07 pm

Thanks Paul yes I will def be there and camping also with prob just the dinner each night and lunches.I am a bit thick, does that mean I can shoot carbons and just not score. If is going to cause greaf its prob just easier to shoot woods out of the lighter bow.

Kim,

Keith has them in 70 - 75#, 75 - 80# and 80 - 85#. If you had a 28" draw I would think the 75 - 80# would be about right.

Thanks Jeff its all organised he got back to me already and is sending me some of the 75-80 shafts.I would rather go a bit stiffer as I can always put a bit heavier b/head on to soften the spine a bit and as i get more used to the heavier poundage I will shoot them a bit longer than I am now.Cant wait to get them now..........

North up the Bruce hwy then left to Boramba dam (before Gladstone) as far as I understand. I've never been and I'm rubbish at directions so I hope someone else will post an answer too :?

G'day Kim,

Head up the Bruce highway and as you cross the Boyne River you are at Benaraby. On the north side of Benaraby you will see a turn off to the left to Lake Awoonga - it is well sign posted. There should be a Muster sign at the turn off as well. When you turn left just follow the Muster signs. I'm not sure how far it is in but it is around 10 kms I think???????

Hope that helps.
