national traditional shoot

#1 Post by gaz » Sun Apr 17, 2005 7:36 pm

hey guys , sitting around with a couple of my mates the other day the topic of a once every 2 or 5 year australia national traditional shoot. where clubs from all across our land gather and meet. where and how is a mind blowing task, but at the same time excites the crap out of me. can you imagine 4 or 5 hundred trad archers together for 3 or 4 days, what a blast. what do you think??????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds good
Maybe tie it into an established shoot in each state alternatively till it gets enough momentum
Otherwise the organising maybe a nightmare
Just my thoughts of course though

Hey Gaz, brilliant idea - maybe we could find out where the majority of trad shooters are and/or take up Staces suggestion and those who want to travel to all can.......funny Steve and I were talking about that on the way home from the shoot on Sunday - maybe we were on the same wave length.
count us in.

aussie shoot

Hi sue , the motorbike club i was in years ago held a meet every 2 years in a different state to make it fair for everybody. We as clubs could fund raise so to send our traditional troops to represent our respective clubs.

national trad shoot

I attended the shoot at Moonan Flats last weekend , where we caught up with the crew from Hunter Valley, they handed out membership forms for the newly formed Traditional Archery Australia. One of their objectives is to organize a national shoot of some kind. so sooner or latter we will all be getting together to have that hoot. :D :D :D

Gaz, how about getting one of the Hunter folks to post the application form here so our members have a chance to print it out and join?

Erron,

The offer was extended by me to the organizers of the TAA to post info on here a couple of weeks ago. It's a shame that about the only time we ever see anyone from the Hunter crew post is when they have their shoot coming up. :?

Matt, if you want further info on the TAA their address is 30 Groundsel Ave, Macquarie Fields NSW 2564. I do have the personal concant for Nick Lintern who is one of the organizers but I won't post his details without his permission.
