We had a weekend of fabulous weather, with a choice of clout, opinjay, 30sec Speed Round, and rolling disk up the top - the 60sec hunt round was near the tea tent and target 21 gamble shot lead onto the new "hide" targets. On the way back up you could do the moving target, and then pick up the 2nd vertical popinjay near the combat course. With field course scores supposed to be in by 3.00pm, we had to track on group down in order to get the Top 10 Shootout participants. An event sponsored by Wes and Kaylene Farnham@ Realty for a handcrafted set of Wallace Woods arrows. I let everyone know if we had run a Mystery 10 instead, the 4th place to 13th place scores were only 11 points apart, and would have included 3 females, which I thought was quite interesting... anyway back to the shootout. 3 of the archers moved into the 2nd round with was won by one arrow by Steve Wallace, so the arrows will be donated back for the next shoot. Following the Top 10 shootout, we went down to do some combat archery which is a bit of an adrenaline rush I must say. The first round had 4 participants per side with one grandson very keen to be opposite his pop and two mates, with one being on either team... yes some very interesting tactics came out. The second round saw one female additional to each team with both rounds being tied. Definately a lot of fun.
Now looking forward to the next one being July 28 /29.
Here is a couple of photos of the weekend.

cheers
