Traditional Archery Australia's NATIONAL Muster
The 2017 Australian Championships
7th and 8th October
Held at ABA Archery Park Mudgee NSW

Field course no 1: 20 Targets. 3 arrows at each target. Adults; 1 arrow from each adult, junior and cub pegs.
Juniors; 2 arrows from junior and 1 arrow from cub pegs.
Cubs; 3 arrows from cub peg.

Field course no 2: 20 Targets. 1 arrow at each target.

Speed round.:
30 seconds; 1 peg, 6 Targets.

The hunt:
60 seconds; 7 pegs, 7 Targets.

Rolling Discs. 5

Running Deer. 5 pegs; 1 arrow from each position.

Saturday afternoon: Axe and Knife.

Saturday evening. Night light, speed round, ( fun shoot ).

Bow Divisions as per TAA Equipment Guidelines.
We have 5 divisions;

1: Longbow Division. ( other Associations call Traditional Longbow ).

2: Recurve Division. ( as recurve/ trad peg in ABA ).

3: Hybrid Division. ( as modern longbow/ trad peg in ABA, deflex/reflex ,short flat bows and bows that do no comply with our Longbow or Recurve Guidelines ).

4: Historical Division. (self bows, bamboo backed bows and ELB's ).

5: Asiatic Bows Division. ( all Asian style bows including horse bows ).

Definition of wood for arrow: Wood or Bamboo.

Those using Carbon or Aluminium arrows are welcome to join in with the fun and fellowship however only those using wood arrows will be included in the competition.

The TAA Muster is a National event and at the end of this competition we will have National Champions for Men's, Ladies, Juniors and Cubs in all of our Bow Divisions.

We will also be maintaining Australian Records for each category.

Camping will be available from Thursday 5th of October.
Due to livestock being on the property and adjoining properties no dogs will be permitted.

Please have your nominations in to our shoot Director early, as a fee of $10 will apply to all late entries. Nominations close on 1st of October 2017.

We hope to see as many Traditional Archers as possible to make our first National Muster a success.
