had a little working bee / shoot / bbq today. Gathered timber for fires and wandered around looking at target shot and setting places.
Looking forward to a great weekend, and only 6 sleeps to go.

cheers

We had glorious weather during both days shooting, with only a couple of spots of rain very late Saturday evening. We shot 25 target field course with Poppinjay, Clout, Speed Round, Hunt Round and moving target on Saturday. We have renamed the sponsored event to "The Mystery 10 Shootout" to give others a chance to receive the handcrafted arrows. This shoot it was made up of the archers placed 11 - 20 based on the 3D Field course score. There were spring rolls, cheese, dip and biscuits to be enjoyed by all of us, as this event was being run. It is based on the 30sec speed round with the catch being, you must shoot your first arrow within the steel ring on the fox target in order to shoot at the other targets. 3 of the men were unsuccessful in proceeding past this very first target. At one stage it looked like we were going to have a 3 way shoot off, until the final archer stepped up and scoring the most targets, became the clear winner. Congratulations goes to Tom (temajin). As Saturday evening was a little cooler, once we had enjoyed dinner, we went and sat around one of the fire places.
On Sunday we shot the 25 target field course, rolling disk, speed round and the hunt round. After lunch we had the presentations to allow time for those needing to return to Brisbane.
Thank you to all who joined us for the weekend and we all look forward to our next mini-trad shoot being held 17th June afternoon / 18th June morning.
Here are a few photo's.
cheers

I had not been back to Chevallan since the Mothers Day Shoot last year I think. Way too long between visits. Thanks to Gary, Tamara and all the Members that helped put on a top Shoot.
