Re: Chevallan Archery Park Feb 11 / 12 2017
Despite the rather high temperatures we had a pretty good turn up for the weekend shoot. On Saturday morning most of us shot the 25 target field course plus hunt round in the morning, before lunch, some did the novelties, and we all had a break in the middle during the heat of the day, then resumed mid afternoon with novelty events including clout, moving target, speed round, and pop-n-jay. A new event, Top Ten Shootout was sponsored by a local business couple. Archers were placed by their 3D field course scores. The special speed round event was won by the maker of the prize arrows, so he in turn presented them to the 11th placed archer, a 14 year old junior who shoots as well as the adults.
Sunday was just a hot, so we all ventured out to do the Field course, the speed round and the rolling disk. Everyone had a really great weekend and we are definitely looking forward to their next event.
Here are some photos.
