This event is for all Trad archers to celebrate Andy Firth's life. He shot at Wisemans Ferry frequently, and Rob is generously putting on an additional event. The fee of $20 per day will be going to one of Andy's favourite charities.
It will be a self catering weekend. On Saturday evening Robert has asked if we all bring some steak to bbq, if you are able to have salads and deserts to share, so we can eat together under the marquee in Andy's honour.

The address is 533 Singleton Rd, Wisemans Ferry. The events will probably be similar to the March shoot, just without the trophies. So bring a minimum of one dozen arrows +6 flu flu arrows with rubber blunts, to use on the popinjay.

it is a rather crisp evening and "medicine" is flowing to keep out the cold. There a quite a few camps sites setup and we are looking forward to a great weekend of shooting.

There were 75 archers who came together to shot over the weekend at the Inaugural Memorial shoot to honour Andy Firth. There was a singer and guitarist entertaining us Saturday night, We raised a glass or two in Andys memory, and gee we all had such a good time. Many stories were shared, laughter abound, and a few tears shed. The event was so successful it has been decided to hold this as an Annual Memorial event around the 2nd weekend every August, to honour friends and other Traditional greats who have passed. A chance for all to reflect. I will have photos tomorrow evening once I've been through the camera, I'm a little weiry right now.
Thanks very much to Robert McKenzie for allowing all of us to come together to enjoy the comradery of the weekend. There were many new Traditional participants who will be returning for this event again next year.
