Sunnie Coast trad

#1 Post by bigbob » Fri Apr 22, 2016 1:58 pm

Just thought I better get this marked in the trad calendar before it clashes with another club. We , the sunshine coast bowmen will be having a one day trad shoot on November 13th. It has to be a one day shoot as our club does not have camping facilities and all must walk some 300m or so into our grounds. In saying that, the grounds are in rainforest and make it a fairly unique spot. Usual 3d targets plus some novelties. Flyer later when we organise the program.Open to all and will be a good day's events.

I should be able to do it in next couple days Sue. Just waiting on template from our secretary, unfortunately. Was sent one but had a few omissions so needed to be rectified.

thanks Daryl.

I've worked out the confusion - this thread is linked directly to the Trad Calendar, and the flyer is on the other thread
http://www.ozbow.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=16283 - so now it's on both. :) All sorted.

plenty of work done at club all ready for a great day's shoot on the 13th. Great range and good targets should be a great day.People can pick their own groups, preferably up to 4 but depends on amount coming , could have to go to 5 in a group at a pinch. however due to range layout etc, groups will be delegated target numbers to start from and will have to follow group ahead . all field targets will have to be completed before novelty evens such as speed round and rolling discs etc due to limited space to maneuver. Hope to see plenty there.

Hey Bob,

Are you trying to tell us it's going to be a cosy shoot. Now can we have 5 archers if they are all on-the-skinny-side  and three if they're a little-on-the-heavy-side
Sounds like fun

targets all laid out none too hard, none too easy either! No rain as yet, so should be all go, it is definitely cooler on the range than away from it too.

What a brilliant shoot. Well laid out 22 X 3D target course that tested our skills, a static speed round with interesting paper targets, and the rolling disks. The BBQ steak and salad burgers hit the spot at lunchtime. Their raffle was well supported and the 48 archers had a jolly good time. Looking forward to the clubs next one. Thanks to all at Sunshine Coast Bowmen. Well Done.

Here is the scoresheet and I shall put up some photo's shortly.

To the Sunny Coast Bowmen Crew thanks for a great shoot yesterday.

Great location, courses, food, raffles and company... just a bit on the TOO BLOODY HOT side so lots of sweat from all.

Just want to add my thanks to the Sunny Coast Bowmen - it was a really great day, fantastic location, challenging targets and a friendly bunch of people to shoot with. The duelling tower was a great idea I had never seen before, a good way to have a fun mini competition with another archer.

Big thanks all round and i will be keen to go again next year!
