So far we have Archers from Qld, NSW, Sth Aust and Vic, plus the Mallee crew, AND we have had at least 35mm of rain in the last 24hrs. Clear Skyes at the moment, hopefuĺly the rain is moving on further south. We are All dry and ready to shòot tomorrow. Once again there are some interesting target placements, should be FUN. Cheers Roadie.

To Jason and his band of helpers, Many Thanks for a great shoot. The rain on thursday night and the Storms on Friday made the ranges a little boggy. Water in most places was over the ankles deep, I finnished up having to wear some gum boots along with quite a few Archers wearing water proof boots.
The shoot had some very interesting Targets, 30 second speed round, The Wand, Rolling disk with a very annoying Magpie swooping at you as you shot. The Moose set at a 100 mtrs for Adults was a challenge, juniors shot from 50 mtrs. And all the other Targets surrounded by Water offered another challenge.
The rain may have kept some people away, but make sure you put this shoot in your calander, All of us that were there have told Jason we will come back next year.
So next year Broken Hill and Mildura are on again same time , and the way Jason was talking he will be holding his shoot at the same time as well, so 3 Trad Shoots again in line.
Will keep you All posted. The last 3 weeks have been an Trad Archers dream and it was Great to catch up with you All. Cheers Roadie.

This was the 3rd Trad Shoot on my southern tour - the Bega Valley Archers Asiatic Experience, the Mallee Sunset Trad Shoot and then the Swan Hill Inaugural after spending a few days exploring the Grampians.

As Roadie said above we had a fair bit of rain on the Thursday and Friday leading up to the shoot so the grounds were "boggy" at best and in some places they were awash. Regardless the Swan Hill team had put in plenty of work to run a great shoot and they had good support from their members to assist with handling the running target and the rolling discs as well as in the kitchen. Brekkies were bacon and egg sambos, sausages and hamburgers for lunches and dinner Saturday night was a whole spit roasted lamb with veggies and gravy - spectacular!!!

About 20 archers from NSW, Vic, South Aus and Qld had a great (if a little damp) weekend shooting, eating and laughing - everything a Trad Shoot should be.

Yet another one for your "must attend" list for next year!!
