Hi all, just heard that Gladstone is adding Carbon and alloy arrows in this years muster. Does this include Compound and Olympic style bows?

Can anyone enlighten us all on what the go is.

Hi Ron,
The only change to the Muster is the inclusion of all arrow types.
Many shooters now use carbon/alum arrows & we have found
for the Muster to survive and thrive, we need to move with the times.
We won't be introducing compounds or Olympic styles any time soon!!

Hi Zan, are the carbon and ally arrows in separate category to wood arrows?

No Ron, we are all going to shoot against each other.
I'm now going to have to practise extra hard for the next couple months!! :(

Thanks Zan, I know everyone will have an opinion on this as they are entitled, but my opinion is that wood arrows cannot compete against carbon and alloy arrows.
As you know I shoot both, but the huge advantage that carbon and alloy arrows have over wooden arrows make the competition unfair.
The Gladstone club has some great people and we wish you guys well, but unfortunately Sue and I will not be present this year.

Regards, Ron

Hi everyone, it's great to here the Muster is on again soon but unfortunately I can't make it again this year as work has me in a different state. I know with the introduction of carbon and alloy arrows this year may seem odd to a few, I think it can only be seen as a positive, it will hopefully enable many others to participate in a great weekend of fun and friendly competition and if keeps the Muster going then you sure have my support. For those that know what the Muster is about I think different arrows won't matter at all. I wish you all a great time and all the best to the Gladstone Bowhunters Club, keep the Australian Longbow and Recurve Muster dream alive.

Cheers Geneo

Hey Stu,
I would suggest 12 arrows (a few old ones you won't miss if you loose them) and flu flu's.
