Possible Trad shoot at Twin City Bowman March or April 2016

#1 Post by Scrub Bull » Sun Sep 13, 2015 5:14 pm

As part of our big Mildura road trip, we stop in at Twin City Bowman in Albury for a shoot on the way home.
The boys and girls at the club are keen to have a Trad Shoot, its still very much in the planning stage at the moment, so this is just a heads up.
The ranges at the club are fun and short, they can be a bit steep in places. The facilities at the club are very good. The only down side I saw was there is very limited parking for caravans.
Town is only 6 km down the road, for those what want to motel it.
Here are a few pictures from one of the ranges.

Archery is a simple game, it's the mind that over complicates it.

I'll say they're keen. A few of them were telling us all about it on Saturday evening. Their club was well represented at Mildura, and March will be so much warmer in Victoria - won't it??? don't suppose they could tee it up to follow Wisemans....

cheers

It is a great club. They bend over backwards to make you feel welcome. Everyear they have a shoot in September which is their 2 day invitational shoot and is this coming weekend. Though it's not a Trad shoot as per se, there is a Trad category. I have been attending the last few years. Every year I have a ball. Plenty of Arrows to be shot over the days and unusual but fun couses. Great food that is cooked in cauldrons simmering away in fire ashes for a few hours for Saturday night evenings meal. Really yummo! Great company all round. If you live or are close by to Albury do yourself a favour and drop in and have some fun.
If they do get a Trad shoot up and running by Joe by jingles I would say it would be a real rip snorter of a weekend if their September shoot is anything to go on by.

G'day Artty

I believe the Wisemans shoot is looking at being held March 5 / 6 - I can give you Rob's number if you'd like to double check.
