Townsville District Bowhunters Club traditional shoot

#1 Post by Scrub Bull » Tue Jul 07, 2015 7:08 pm

Just got this off Facebook from Smokey

Would like to advise all the bow and arrow fraternity that the Townsville District Bowhunters Club is holding its annual traditional shoot at the Kev Whiting Memorial grounds Condon on August 29th and 30th. All welcome. Bring your stick bow. Camp out. Smokey is setting the course. Will be interesting. Bring extra arrows Any arrows. If we kept it to woods we'd have about 6 participants. Ha ha.

Looking forward to shooting some arrows and eating some of Steves venison it has been to long. Good to hear some Glady crew coming up, I know its a long hall for some. Weather is just starting to warm up a little so should be good. Smokey said a few running targets, speed round and plenty of hunting shots on 3 d"s cant wait.

^^ this was precisely the point of my posts in the warwick event thread. makes me wonder if that's why it was cancelled.

good to see an event that welcomes and encourages all those in our sport to participate.
lack of participation in our sport is a much greater threat to it than the use of arrows that aren't made of wood.

have fun!!
