haven't had any thing done to them yet Ron apart from running over myself with my van! Parked at top of my steep driveway, went to jump start it with jumper leads, handbrake let go and off it went down the driveway.with me hanging on to door and trying to get one foot on brake. It veered sideways part way down [luckily as there was a neighbors fence across the road and very steep bank creek waiting.] Some bushes like cordylines and dracenas slowed it a little but what really stopped it dead was my leg jammed up some how between wheel arch and tyre. There I was laying on right hip with half a leg stuffed in a spot it shouldn't be and literally screaming. I've had a fair amount of pain in the course of my eventful life but this went to another level. Three neighbors managed to lift the body enough for me to get the leg out. After 4 and a half hours at hospital, and xrays etc no broken bones, just bad bruising and abrasions. Can't believe how lucky I was really Had to fit another door as original one got buckled from me hanging onto it.With this and treatment for sun damage I'm out of commission for more than a couple of weeks, unfortunately.

thanks for your thoughts Kerry, Ron and Shrek.Getting about ok, bit sorer in the knee than usual. Actually this happened on a saturday and I went out to our club on the Sunday and shot one round before the pain outweighed the gain and went home.Love to be at the hinterland shoot Shrek ol' buddy but can't go out in sun at the moment , at least not for much time. Be weeks before that crap is over and done with.

Thanks Bob, I might be on the Sidelines but that's the thing about Traditional Archery and other pre-Industrial Age Skills, there is always a related Skill you can practice and there's always new Skills to learn

Oh I'll be there Sue - I will be taking advantage of the Hospitality of the fine Folks at Hinterland and arriving Friday Morning. I will be spending my time Teaching a young Fella how to make a Selfbow and wandering around from Camp to Camp and chatting to anyone who's Polite enough to say Hello to me. It's the start of 2 Weeks Leave for me and I cant wait

Thanks very much Cleve appreciate the offer and it's great that your thinking of me !

I have a lot of trouble getting up again if I lay down. I have not Slept in my Bed for Months let alone getting down onto a Mattress on the Floor. I'm sleeping in a Recliner because it Aligns my Spine better than laying down. I need the flexibility of switching between Sleeping in the Reclined Passenger Seat and the 6" Mattress in the back of Wilbur X Trail. I've been warned not to Drink due to the Schedule 8 Drug I'm on also.

On the cheerful side always up for a Laugh, I'll let you Poke me Ribs and lift my Left Arm above my Shoulder for Giggles. I'll bring down some Honey Bourbon Fortified Port for my Fellow Miscreants and maybe the Red Peril will Tag along

Really looking forward to Camping and Roughing it a bit.

Hey Perry, Steve often sleeps in his recliner, that's why we have the camping chairs we do - no pressure on the spine when you sit down.
Take care mate - me thinks you might be giving work away a little sooner than you anticipated.

it is only 5 sleeps to go

Sorry to hear of Bobs human speedbump story can't believe you sacrificed your leg as a speedbump, wishing you a speedy recovery.

Time is ticking ( reminds me to check battery in the timers for the novelties)and days are slipping by looking forward to seeing all my friends and trad family Friday.

Slight change of plans for me, I will no longer be camping. I have been struck with some vertigo and was at Drs getting tests to investigate reason. Luckily I live close by. Fingers crossed I can get it u der control enough to shoot.

that damned vertigo seems to be going about somehow Chris. I had it for a week or two and my doctor had it really bad , he was nauseous and even vomiting with it.

another fun Hinterland shoot over until next year. Good courses, great company, much jocularity, no rain (except at lunchtime Saturday, so that doesn't count). so a good time had by all.
Have been advised next year will probably be moved to September - will let you all know as soon as we can.
Scores and photos will be added soon.

cheers
