Yes Little Arras, ranges all finished and some very interesting shoots to challenge your skills, extreme hunting environment. Poeple will be arriving from thursday, so come early and enjoy the beach and a swim at HB.

Trad shoots are already getting that small it is hardly worth going, so Barranbah off our list as well and Warwick added. ABA always discover ways of excluding people instead of including people, some new smart leadership required for the future of the sport. Less funds for them and more for me, I will stick to 3d Shoots from now on.

Do I need to be an ABA member to attend this shoot?

kRUSTY, dont make guesses until you ask the question, This is a TRAD shoot for all ABA , 3DAAA, AA , TAA , and anyone who want the enjoyment of shooting TRAD . Non members need to sign a participation form on the day, as ABA will cover everyone for insurance as a sanctioned event for the Two days.

Have I left anything out , can you understand that. IF you wish to be a member of TAA, I,M sure Sue will take your nomination for $5 on the day. Thats right , anyone with a recurve or longbow and wooden arrows are welcome. (see flyer on this subject). Your are welcomed to stick to your old way if you wish, me, I want to move forward. Regards Richie,( Trad shooter 40 years)

I think we are on different tracks here, I am talking about the pet policy, nothing else at the moment, my animal is rarely out of the caravan and has never annoyed anyone yet small minded people choose to ban her. Clubs that look at this case by case will get my support, can think of plenty of animals that should be banned though. [trad shooter 50 years]

Krusty, You didnt mention anything about the dog. Yes I do know you and your dog, being carried around by your wife. I've seen you at numerous clubs. I know what ABA rules are but there are exceptions?????. Why dont you come to the shoot and I'll discuss them with you after I talk to the DOG
Your welcome, Richie.

Ay Red Eagle, Have been looking into coming to your shoot, my wife is concerned as I would be Travelling at least 5000 Klm's return trip on my own, not that worries me, Then I looked at Flying In, where is the nearest Airport, But issues are, Bow (ELB), Arrows, Swag, Back Pack for clothes. then Hire a car. Could try a Bus Line, but same issues there. Sorry, just have to miss this one, I Wish you Well for the shoot. Will be going to the Wiseman Ferry shoot in mid March, then up your Way after Easter, First of Lithgow Ironfest, (Anzac Weekend), then onto Surfers to Help Shrek, then onto Nanango for the May Shoot, so hopefully will see you there and share a Drink or too. Cheers Roadie.

Making 'exceptions' to established rules is fraught with danger, as we all know 'where do you draw the line', a real 'Pandoras' Box'.

I believe that 3DAAA are introducing a 'No Dogs Policy'.

Will be arriving Friday afternoon, two certain, maybe three.

If 3dAAA introduce it Dave will be the first affected and then a huge loss of membership, then new clubs will be formed and only have sensible members. Most ABA clubs clubs have ignored the silly rules thank god, they are the only ones that will prosper, the old saying about cutting the nose off to spite the face? Anyhow silly old people are getting older and more educated ones will eventually take over.

Our Club is an ABA Club, and ABA has a no DOG Policy, AND as well the Lease where our Range is has written into no DOGS as well. So for people coming to our Trad Shot, just remember NO DOGS ALLOWED. So if you can't live with out your Pooch and you want to come, Make alternate arrangements for said Pooch and come and have a Great time. Cheers Roadie.

Thanks for that Ritchie, also had offers of help from other Folks as well. When I was looking into coming I was quoted last week a price of $1360 return, Today 27th I was quoted $ 1535, an increase of $175. When I questioned the increase I was told the Aust $ was to blame.
So I will not be coming up by Plane, and driving up for the 2 Days is just not on, might have been different if there were a couple of more shoots to attend afterwards.
Any way have a Great shoot, I will be thinking off you All. Cheers Roadie.

Thanks Ritchie I appreciate your help, but find it funny how people are willing to bend the rules for some things and not others such as smoking is not permitted in clubs with council leases, more of a danger than tiny little pooch that never leaves the caravan, if this carries on the clubs will definitely be fraught with danger, indeed where do you drawer the line, I am wiling to abide by the letter of the law if the smokers are. :surprised:
