Everyone needs to bring a few old arrows too - ones that won't mind going back to nature!
Blame the range creator!

The grounds couldn't look any better, ranges are fantastic and friends & food will make for a great Muster.

See you in a few sleeps everyone.

camping ground is getting very full. The weather is beaut. 3 have flown over from WA. 2 from Lithgow NSW have driven up. Many from Brisbane to Townsville have arrived today and it promises to be a great shoot.
Friday night meal was fabulous and just the 1 sleep to go.

Day 1 of the competition is done and dusted.
The courses were challenging!!! and for those of us vertically challenged people, some targets were hidden by the long grass.
More to come tomorrow.
Weather is brilliant.

I am interested in the break-up of numbers in larger terms - ie how many travelled 200k, how many travelled 500k, etc. So if you would just jot down some rough notes of how many Sydney locals, how many Qld, Vics, etc. it would be appreciated.

Meanwhile enjoy the shoot.

There were 102 archers in total at Gladstone and to answer Grahame's question a rough breakup off the top of my head would be - NONE from Sydney, wrong shoot Grahame... 2 from Brisbane/Gold Coast, 20 or so from Caboolture to say just north of Gympie, 15 odd from Bundaberg, 15 or so from as far north as Townsville and down to Mackay, 3 from WA, 2 from Lithgow, 12 or more from Toowoomba to Gayndah, 20 or so from Maryborough area, plus lots of locals ... That'll do, my brain's tired now.

The weather was fantastic, courses were interesting. Food was worth the wait. Great to catch up with everyone, it had been a while between shoots, and well done to the Gladstone Club for a fine effort.

Results will be posted shortly, along with some photos.

cheers
sue
