The mountain is looking good. With the rains you can hear the ferns growing .A great course looking greater. The new CEO and elves have designed some great new shooting lanes which are sure challenging.
All the signs for a great trad arrow friendly outing. The deer are wandering the camping area which is a good sign.

Re: Lilydale VIC Trad Shoot Sept 2013
gday all
im thinking about coming along to this shoot, will I be allowed to shoot with carbon arras? i havent got woodies and i cant see myself finding time to purchase build and tune them in time.
im not going to be competitive with any arrows, so I dont mind if im not eligible
cheers

Re: Lilydale VIC Trad Shoot Sept 2013
Steps thought backwards......Sorry Len remembering the Buckland boys passion for the hunt the before mentioned Samba are for viewing only .All outgoing campers will be frisked for venison . Knowing Broken Arra's and Big Mark Kahuna's organisational ability we will see some dam good target placement. This will be one hell of a Trad. Take note Blakey its understood there will be several top end longbowers looking for redemption.

Re: Lilydale VIC Trad Shoot Sept 2013
Hi Fanto.....No mention of arrow restriction on flyer so your selection appears OK as long as they are shot from a Trad single string bow. If you need woods let me know your draw length and bow poundage I may be able to assist at a pinch. Look to further comment from organisers.

Re: Lilydale VIC Trad Shoot Sept 2013
Like hardgainer said, there is no mention on the flyer and they have shot them every other year, so don't see why this one should be any different....mmm...
Re: Lilydale VIC Trad Shoot Sept 2013

Re: Lilydale VIC Trad Shoot Sept 2013
Arrows, arrows, arrows and little arrows. Yes Hardgainer is correct you may shoot wood, alloy or carbon, we will be catergorising based upon type of bows and arrows so modern, traditional and historical/primative (no Nev not hysterical) and in Len's case lump of wood sorry "ELB".
It should be a weekend of fun , yarns, laughter and arrows and the occasional spinning of tales. As to the weather well based upon the past few days sunshine(10 degrees), mild winds (40 mph +) slight mist (heavy rain) and Fog (hail). and thats just at muster time. Target placement the Big Kahunna is dreaming already, spoke to Jenny who does our famous canteen roast beef and pork likely with spuds in jackets and lots of veg with gravy for saturday night . If there are enough people on friday night we will do a sausage sizzle and my arm could be twisted to bring a jar of Tony famous red onion marmalade with chilli as a taste tester for the snags .
Hope to see you there

Re: Lilydale VIC Trad Shoot Sept 2013
Stop the press, gee that is a statement from the past, the way the world is travelling it will be "hold that text". Anyway with great pleasure I wish to annouce that it looks like we will be a having a participant from the the USA IBO championships attending this years event. A well travelled gentleman who enjoys the finer things in life. In other words Littlejohn aka "Ian" who use to be a bus driver and he drinks bundy rum . I am sure Ian will share his learnings from the USA with anyone who would like to jion his workshop in other words sit with him at dinner time. See you there.
