Sue, I have come down with the flu and have been to the doctors this morning and does look like I'm going to be well enough to travel. So have just cancelled our flights. Looks like we arent meant to come over to a trad shoot. Hope you all have a great shoot.

Cheers Jo

Hey Jo,

That's no good at all, - however keeping the flu in your own home is a good idea.
Keep snuggly warm and make sure Gary looks after you, (or stays out of your hair  )

Such a shame. Never mind, perhaps later in the year, when it's warmer.

Until then, please take care and get betterereer.
I am sure you will read a full shoot report after the weekend.

cheers

Unfortunately I can not make it to the shoot on Saturday but I will definately be there on Sunday to run the Hawkeye event.

In the meantime keep practicing because the prize pool needs to be won.

A big thanks to Caboolture and District Bowmen for a great weekend. You have done yourselves proud! Sue and I had a great time with some really good company in Big Bob, Danny and Ian. Great venue, great people and fantastic mix of great characters make these Trad events an absolute must!
We are very appreciative of the clubs that put themselves out to put on these events! AAAAA+++++

PS Congtrats to Keith for taking out the Hawkeye

Tom, that's the second time we have had that event.

Yep to girl power The Hunt, we showed 'em how to drive through muddy terrain ..

With the mud driving event being closly contested following the presentations it closed off a very good weekend.
73 archer had a great time, the courses were interesting, which I think most of us did a 2nd time on Saturday just for fun. So despite the wet start Friday which may have kept some away, the weekend was beautiful for the shoot.

I am being sent a DVD with the photos and scores and will post them up as soon as I get them.

A big Thank You to the Caboolture (mostly compound crew) for job very well done.

cheers

As always the Corrival was a great weekend - but I think the highlight for me was the home made sticky date pudding and butterscotch sauce for dessert on Saturday night... simply exquisite!!!

So thanks to the hardworking crew at Caboolture and District Bowmen for another great shoot and to the lovely ladies in the canteen for the fabulous food.

If I could just shoot more betterer I might be able to beat Big Bob and get in the top 3 - ah, maybe next shoot!!

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the Jules Shield Trade Shoot at Lakeside Bowmen over the weekend of 13th & 14th July.

What an exciting finish to the Hawkeye event, Keith Mattson, Terry Otto and Vince Lavin scored in the qualifying round to make it to the final round.

Keith was the only one to score in the final round and walked away with the prize pool.

After running the Hawkeye for over ten years it is time for me to step down.

If anyone is interested in running the Hawkeye they need to be available to run the event at North Albert, Gladstone and Caboolture traditional shoots.

Hey Big Bob,

maybe that's where I went wrong - early to bed and no wine???

My Saturday shooting was ordinary at best but my Sunday (especially the second range) was a real shocker - I think I missed more than I hit and broke three arrows into the bargain.

If I don't see you at The Jules Shield I look forward to catching up again at Hinterland - stay well and I'll keep practicing and see if I can improve enough to give you a run next time.

Stay well and best regards,

Tom
