i know im new to this but even the flyer doesn't say where the North Albert Traditional Rendezvous is. I note that I can mail to Dave Crone and he has a street address but i assume that's not where the meet is lol.

Is it a secret only shown to the feathered fraternity of arrow flinging fellows and ladies? Or could somebody share with me. Hopefully with a google map if its a paddock somewhere with no proper address.

Im looking forward to going should be fun. I might even bring my Actionboo (LOL actionboo) bamboo floorboard longbow.

Hey Grahame

North Albert Field Archers is on 64 Sandy Creek Road, Yatala - and Dave Crone is the onsite caretaker - so yep that's where it is.

Great News. Bring the "Blackbrook", it would be wonderful to see it in action again.

Was down at the club this afternoon and all is looking good. All the rain has seen a lot of greenery spring back to life... and bring your aerogard for the mornings and evenings...

Can't wait to see if I can get some of these wooden sticks heading in approximately the right direction through the weekend.

Morning.

Great event.

Selfbows are noticeably slower than modern recurves and heavy arrows do not help.

Lots of people at the shoot.

Marji was even shooting her longbow at one stage.

Time for Day 2.

It was a great weekend. My first trad get together and a whole lot of fun. Shot some good stuff and some bad stuff, had a lot of laughs, caught up with a lot of people I've met around the trad traps and met a whole lot of new people. Talked some $^%*, learned some things, saw some beautiful bows, some amazing arrows and some great shooters.

Special thanks to Steve and Sue Wallace for making me learn to love trad shooting again by proving to me that good wood shafts are every bit as accurate as carbons. And they made me look good when it counted most.

Thanks NAFA for a great weekend and to all the volunteers and committee members for putting in a lot of hard work to make sure it was so enjoyable.

Cheers, Tony
