Hi Trish,

I'm really looking forward to this shoot having been unable to attend Rob's get-together at Wiseman's. I'll bring the two boys again who are super keen. Already purchased two more sets of shafts for them to put together before the shoot...

morning all,

Still looking forward to the Gathering, struggling to find wood shafts for the kids (18# bows and they have 18-20" draws). I have some 5/16's that are set up for a 42# longbow. They might have to shoot them

Just set those 5/16" arras up for your kids or get some of the lightest spined ones you can. No matter what, the arras are going to be over spined for the kids. When my kids were young and only shooting 10 - 25 pound draw weight bows I used 5/16" shafts with 70 grin Taper Hole Target Points and three four inch fletches and the arras shot like darts.

We where talking about that today out there. The report looks like there will be showers on saterday, but it is going to be cold at night. So pack the port, scotch or rum.
