Photographer's Rule Number 1: NEVER leave your camera behind.

Photographer's Rule Number 2: Refer to Rule Number 1.

Stubby cooler???? Methinks you won't be needing that! Refer to 'thermal' post. Just leave them out and mother nature will look after them for you  .

Yoiks!!!

If you are thinking of leaving the camera behind you need a new toy. Have you considered a new body or a new lens? How about changing formats or perhaps an on-site printer. A plate camera could keep you busy for a few hours.

Ol' mate Nutgrass may take a few days to reply as he should be getting close to a hunting property about now.

For the new fun event being launched, you will need 5 arrows to enter and all to be fletched the same for ease of identification (the same as the other four arrows you are holding, not the same as the person beside you.... )

MMMm a new toy :surprised: What about a new 5d mark iii   My missus will kill me & you better hide too just for suggesting it

Maybe I should go film

Na, no new toys for me for a while. The current duo of the 40d & the 5d mark are doing well & will be around for a while yet 8) It was more a bit of tongue in cheek after last year
I will no doubt have the camera, but more importantly, I will have the bow in hand 8)

I've only got a half bottle of Johnny Walker left to bring, so I might have to rely on a big log fire!

Hi Everyone

Can anyone suggest a place to kip for the night?

And before you all start saying I'm such a girl about cold weather..... it's actually my camera gear that doesn't like 0 degrees:)
Well, sorta.....

Any caravan parks or the like close by?

Tar.

Hey Marji,

Yep there are two caravan parks really close to the grounds. Sorry don't know their names but google probably will find them.
Hey why don't ya buy your camera gear a special nice fleecy blankee and wrap them snug as bug and place them near your pillow in the tent.

cheers (and ever so helpful  )

Hi Marji.

Esky. Wheatsacks - like those for sprains. Put hot wheatsacks in bottom of Esky - place towel over Wheat sacks. Add camera gear. Check that esky does not get to hot.

Apparently it works good enough to keep a vidoe camera warm enough to survive shooting in Korea during winter. From same person - take your camera to bed with you - rest of the time keep close to your body underneath you winter attire.
