I am planning to attend this shoot also. Have booked holidays for the Friday and Monday to give me time to drive down and back to Brissie.

Looking forward to catching up with everyone and meeting some new folks as well.

See you all in Wisemans Ferry!!

I'll be attending this shoot too. I went to it a couple of years ago and it was a great shoot. Unfortunately couldn't make the last one due to unforeseen events. Bugger. Looking forward to the clout and hitting the crow again. Yes I know it was a fluke.

Sue I have thought about making some light ones to use on the a popinjay, I'll see if I can get some time to do them.
Anyone the needs a ride down to the shoot from southeast Qld send me a PM and I'll work on some room in the car for you.
Archery is a simple game, it's the mind that over complicates it.

..... 67 ..... sleeps to go and flyer soon to follow.

For those of us who do the annual pilgrimage to Wisemans a flyer is not necessary as the events are always fun and interesting. Just to catch up with everyone and to share stories keep us going to this shoot.

After making it there last year for first time, I'd dearly love to back up this year but time. finances and heath problems almost certainly mean I wont make it.Lot of new friends down there I'd love to see again but perhaps next year/ You'l love it Tom.

We will definitely be going, looking forward to this one. Have contacted organizers and have permission to take our companion dog Ripper as well. She just loves a road trip and camping.

Ay Tony, I'm ready to leave also, working on the Knee, can get around with the aid of walking sticks, still have at least 36 days to get fit. Are you affected by the Fires. Cheers Roadie.

Hi Tony,

Was wondering how everything was going down there, VIC and SA are really sweltering. Hope all are safe from any fires.

Hey Roadie,

It 39 sleeps to the shoot, so 36 days to "recover", 3 days to drive up (slowly is necessary)

cheers

Yes thanks guys I am safe but the next suburb across is Warrandyte on the edge of Suburbia and the Yarra river unfortunately some loss of houses and North of Melbourne along the Hume they are not doing well. You must admit the last few years have seen some significant fires and floods etc across our wonderful country. Australia is having a rough time and it is having a hugh financial, psychologial and social impact on a lot of people across this nation of ours. Sorry a bit deep, some of you know my work and I am seeing it close at hand. But we are also seeing some really amazing stories of community in trying times. Good old fashion community that had been disappearing.
Roadie glad you are on the road to recovery mate look forward to seeing you smiling face.

Does the event require timber arrows or will carbons suffice?

Hi macca

You can shoot non-timber arrows, if you like, however you will not be eligible to participate in the top 10 shootout.
