Re: NAFA Traditional Rendezvous; 31st March/1st April 2018
thanks for the flyer Daryl, I have posted it far and wide.
Unfortunately for the first time since it's commencement we shall not be attending this shoot. We have been asked to promote Traditional archery, and also do demonstrations at the Cooloola Fair on the Easter Saturday. Although I will miss catching up with everyone at NAFA, I am looking forward to introducing more people to our great sport.
cheers

Re: NAFA Traditional Rendezvous; 31st March/1st April 2018
it was brought to my attention today there is a new division at this shoot - you may use carbon or aluminium arrows.
Wood arrows has all divisions, all trophies catered for. Carbons/aluminiums has one division, one trophy, so I shall have to change the calendar, (if only I'd read the flyer).... oops.
cheers

Re: NAFA Traditional Rendezvous; 31st March/1st April 2018
A great weekend even though numbers were down on previous years. Comm Games starts this week and the rain on Friday probably scared some folk away even though Saturday and Sunday were fine. About 50 archers enjoyed two 15 target ranges (shot both days alternating 1 arrow and 2 arrow rounds) along with great novelties - bow bird, 30 sec speed round, rolling disc, running pig and a 60 sec hunter round. Hearty brekkie, lunch and dinner fare as well as a great prize table for the raffle.
Plenty of catching up with old friends and meeting new ones, good shots along with spectacular misses, the odd broken or lost arrow and lots of laughter. Some rum and single malt scotch was enjoyed along with some cuban cigars but no out of control behaviour . . . unless you count some naughty boys howling at the full moon!! Who would that have been??
So a big thank you to the team at NAFA for putting on another great Traditional Rendezvous!
