Lucky Morning

#1 Post by Tommo » Mon Jun 01, 2009 9:49 pm

Had some luck and found some pigs on the weekend.
Waited off the mob for about forty five minutes before I was able to stalk within shot range of the biggest boar. Double lunged him at around twelve metres and he hit the deck in under ten seconds. I was stoked!

A personal best mountain boar.

Good stuff, Tommo!
It's the great, big, broad land 'way up yonder,
It's the forests where silence has lease;
It's the beauty that thrills me with wonder,
It's the stillness that fills me with peace.

Awesome work there Tom,
I don't agree with the title though, with the amount of time you have spent chasing those mountain boars, it was only a matter of time before you barrelled a nice one :D
Stoked for you mate, let me know what he scores

Well done Tommo. 8) It's a nice pig alright!

Mick
There is no use focusing on aiming if you don't execute the shot well enough to hit what your are aiming at.

Thanks for the replies. Can't get this hunt out of my head it was a long time coming.

Tommo did you put the single bevel on the blackstump or did you order it like that?

Cheers

I put the bevel on myself. The Black stumps really only lend themselves to a single left wing bevel or double bevel due to the way they are put together.

Good show Tom, nice hooks

At the risk of dragging off topic , you still using the Fred Asbell quiver, and what do you think of it?

Again, nice grunter.

Cheers

hey wal, still using the GFA quiver and it is a handy bit of gear. Got a Ace In the Hole quiver on the bow too which carries the just in case or in a hurry arrow in it.

Yes Adam it was sweet. They don't come easy around here.
