sweet as u like
went out for a day hunt near gulgong on saturday and got my first pig with the trad gear. not a biggun but a gooden for a first and let me tell u, im just pickled with it.. also took a goat for its cape, as ive been chasing a nice white cape for my 131 model. he died on the run then proceded to role down the mountain and toppel off a 10m cliff smashing through a native pine tree and breaking one horn off.. very Alaskin..get this, the carbon which was still in him through this didnot break...go the carbons..im really tickled with the cape..

Good stuff, Pedro!
It's the great, big, broad land 'way up yonder,
It's the forests where silence has lease;
It's the beauty that thrills me with wonder,
It's the stillness that fills me with peace.

It's just grass that appears broken up by the crappiness of digital photography.
Re: sweet as u like

your spot on toma. its the crappy digital enhancing on photo bucket, must a lost a bit when taming the overexposur. so much for keen eye's. cant imagine what was going through your head jeff?
i use amonia and some special detergent i get from the states to get the stink out. oh, and fabric softener..and let me tell you, it stank.

Re: sweet as u like
nige, i reckon the bows around 46lb at my draw, using 35-55 gold tips and 190g tusker concords. ithink the total arrow is 530g. the one i used that day are wood grain with wraps and high vis 4'' shield cuts. they fly well out to 30-35 which is firther than i shoot anyway. 46lb is enough i reckon. ive got heaver bows but rather not strugle to draw. the pig i got good penetration, up to the fletching on the point of the shoulder from around 12-15 paces.
yeh jeff, when ive a spare day ill let you know!

Nice one Pedro.
Definately an interesting coat on that pig, the silvery tips look great. You'll have to post up some pics when you've finished with the taxidermy.
