Frosty Boar

#1 Post by Axe » Sat Jun 23, 2007 11:10 am

This morning saw me walking through the frost to see what the animal life was doing in minus 4 degrees...as I had not seen any animals at all it appeared the answer was, somewhere trying to keeping warm (same as I reckon Stickbow would be do'n :D )

Just as I was thinking that I was probably the only idiot out in this, when about forty metres ahead of me this boar came out of a blackberry bush , stopped looked around and began to amble into another bush adjacent to the first

As he disappeared into the bush I moved forward until I was about ten metres from where I had last seen him, no sooner had I arrived there when he came out the end of the bush to my left...angled away and at about 12m the arrow smashed into his heart
Estimated him to be in the 90-100kg range
