Some good pics there ,, not as big as those WA ones are they :?:

Sparra a 30 m straight downhill shot , depending on angle , would equate to about a 10 m shot

Thanks

I shot these billys as if they were 5 meters away, an hit pretty much spot on. It felt right and felt good, hope that doesn't sound disrespectful.

Hey buzz, living in Canberra now(mmm home). I was hunting out western nsw, border riverina and I have never seen it so green. Maybe times are a changing it seens most places are greening up, theres snow were it shouldn't be and rain were there usually isn't. Fingers crossed for a break in the drought.

That looks like good typical goat country mate. You've got to love hunting them in amongst the boulders and cliffs. It seems much more 'natural' than when you hunt them out west on the flat plains.

Great photos, as usual. 8)

There is no use focusing on aiming if you don't execute the shot well enough to hit what your are aiming at.

You picked a great time of year to return... "brisk" is about the most polite description of the weather that I can think of.

Yeah just a little trick in photograthy, you focus on the ground at the distance you want to be hold the button half way down position the camera press the button all the way in.

same with moving objects, just focus at there feet.

Yeah Buzz I absolutly love this weather, makes it easier climbing the mountains and just feels unreal when hunting.

Finally home again, That country looks pretty demanding, but spectacular to look at as well.Great photos ,how do the eastcoast Billies stack up compared to the WA goats ,are they a bit harder to put down or just harder to carry out :D

Its kind of 6 one way clint, half a dozen the other.

east coast, cool weather hard country

west coast, stinking hot climate big country(large flat land)

east coast, hard to find trophys, hard to gain access

west coact, harder to find trophys, hard to gain access

both the same really, imo.

However I'd prefer to be hunting goats at my old properties in the north west Wa, then western nsw. But would prefer to hunt the mountains on the east coast then the hills on the west coast.

Screw it just hunt them all.
