Year not to bad but read about how many times he shot it WITH a HAND GUN and then followed it for 3 HOURS before finishing it off.
A bit like shooting an Aussie pig with a slug gun

I did get a bit cranky when I heard there were adults there with high powered rifles. They shouldnt have let it suffer so long. That said, it is still huge!

Sure it was huge but I would have been much more impressed if I saw it before it was shot - in its PEN!!! :? :x

That isn't hunting it is just killing and a sick way to do it to IMO. :x

Yep, no doubt about that unless it could stand still in the one spot in the wild every day and get all the fattening food possible - again IMO. :D

Haha, wouldnt surprise me. Didnt cross my mind. Did some googling and it said that some other huge boar 'hogzilla' was accused of being grown on a farm. Anybody heard anything bout this stuff?

not that impressive IMO for a few reasons - some already mentioned...

what gets up my nose (and i've ranted about this before) is the trick photography used to make the pig look bigger.
that kid is probably 5m behind the pig by the look of it.

its obviously quite a big pig, but these kinds of things really detract from a hunting story IMO...

look only going by the story,if as they said they had guides,so it sounds like he was on a paid hunt, and ud be pretty certain it would be closed range, well the guides wouldnt shoot it,unless the kid was in trouble,so i know it sounds rough he had a few shots but least he followed it up and finished it...

plenty of bowhunters have done the same

but hey who knows what the real facts are

And to think, Chris/Gnome almost landed in the big house because a cat made it 4m after being given a mortal through-shot.

Yeah BD it was a pet pig named Fred. No wonder hunting gets a bad rap when people do stupid disgusting things like this (not hunting by the way). :x
