Chinese Made Broadheads

#1 Post by matt61 » Thu Mar 07, 2019 12:03 pm

I got given three Chinese three blade broadheads with replaceable blades. I shot two of them at a fox a couple of days ago and both of them fell to pieces, the blades came out of them.
Any one else had similar failures.

Nah Matt I haven't as I still shoot the good old Ribteks. It's been awhile since I've sent one of those towards any game too.

Hello Matt, is there any way you can post a picture of these Chinese Broadheads.
I may be able to tell you something about them once I see what they look like.

Cheers.

Hi Matt, looking into it, will get back to you with an answer later today.
As for the G5 a good head for when you have a light FOC weight requirement as in the head alone.
Cheers.

Hello Matt,
I found what I think may be you Chinese copy.
It's call "Allen Lightning 3-100.
Blades of Stainless Steel.
Batwing Shoulder.
1 Vent in each Blade.
Blue Ferrule, Cone Tip.
Measurements may be slightly different.
Length: 2.17" ; width 1.05"
Tip of blade fits under back shoulder of Cone Tip.
Back edge sits in/under locking nut. Locking nut could be smooth or knurled.

My view is that the Chinese versions of many Broadheads are the worst.
In this instant.
The Cone tip needs to Punch its way through an Animals hide, there in itself is a loss of a lot of energy to get through to any vital organ.
The Tip in this case is so short that is worse than that of a field point.
If there is any movement in the blades when fully assembled they will definitely break loose or explode on any slight contact.

Most if not all Chinese Broadheads are reversed engineered of someome else's hard work.

Ok, I hope that is of some help, unless you have any further information about those heads that I colud use as reference material.
Cheers.

Mate I made the mistake of buying a dozen of them once; they are typical Chinese CRAP!!!!
3 out of 12 spun up ok then when I shot one into corflute cardboard; CARDBOARD they just fell apart.
Cheers

Hi Matt,
Sorry mate the messages just aren't getting through.
What the problem is I don't know.
Did a test run with Outbackdad and all went well.
So like I said you can call me and have a chat, but leave it until tomorrow now.

Cheers.
