Hunting Around Northern Rivers NSW

Hi All,

moved up to Nimbin just over a year ago and being new to the area was wondering if there was much bow hunting in the area . found a private property near Glen Innes , but thats all ive come up with so far. i heard there is some swamp land near Grafton? havent done any hunting in Australia other than rabbit/hare/fox. Would like to chase some goat or deer , maybe a boar even. Interested in game for meat mostley but also using as much of the animal as possible

Hi Dean,
there's not that much close to Nimbin, mainly rabbits, hares and foxes, and you might find goats in some areas. Further west it gets better, especially around Tenterfield. Glen Innes is good for deer, goats, a few pigs.

If you want to meet some other bow hunters, head down to the archery club at Lismore, we have 2D shoots once a month.

At the bottom of the legend is an option to shown known feral goat areas.

There is also sister sites for all ferals eg pigs, rabbits etc.

There really isn't all that much in the area mate. I'm from coraki and the most you can really get around the place any more is rabbits, hares and foxes. If you are game enough there is a fair few wild dogs around the place, especially UB the hills around nimbin but as far as I know the goats are just a myth.

I have goat, deer and pig properties around Glen Innes,Texas and Warialda.

be up there in late April if you are up for a trip.
