Chrissie Day Rabbits

#1 Post by CraigH » Mon Dec 29, 2014 8:37 pm

Got 2 rabbits Christmas day with the Predator recurve and Outback SGB. The one in the pic got about 7 meters front on, he was lying low in the short grass, nearly didn't spot him.

(Earlier on before I got the 2) I won't tell you about how after a big Chrissie meal went for a shot in the paddock, disturbed a few rabbits and thought, I will lie down for a few minutes and wait until they come out. Well after a huge meal, I nearly dozed off and opened my eyes and there was a bunny only about 15 metres away. He was partially covered by the grass, awkwardly I tried to to sit up and get a shot while he was feeding. Missed him and he ran diagonally closer in front of me to about 10 meters, he casually hoped away. I think he knew how much I ate and I wasn't a threat at that stage.

Nice Craig. 8)

I haven't tried the Outback SGB on bunnies yet. Obviously they do the job okay.
There is no use focusing on aiming if you don't execute the shot well enough to hit what your are aiming at.

Nice one Craig, that's just the icing on the 'Christmas' cake to be able to go for a hunt and come back with a bunny.

Good shot,
Ranger

There is something strange about those Predators
They tend to hit the same spot
