Just thought I'd share a pic of my first metre Barra. 104cm. As you can see.......I was pretty happy.

Oh mate, what a beauty! You've go to be happy with that. It looks like you caught it offshore, from the background in the photo. I've only ever caught them in estuaries, and never one anywhere as large as that one. What did you catch her on? Lure or bait?
There is no use focusing on aiming if you don't execute the shot well enough to hit what your are aiming at.

Thanks Mick,

Got her in Proserpine dam on a Sebile Koolie Minnow trolling. Really want to get a metrey casting lures in the salt. I've hooked em and watched mates catch em but I'm yet to nail one.

I can see a shot of the bait you used but where's the barra?    Great stuff. my best was just shy of the metre mark at 36 1/2'' and was caught in the salt [Morrisseys] for the Ayr and Townsville guys.

Awesome fish Andy, does the closed season apply to Proserpine dam?

What a monster! Awesome stuff, well done!
Lately, if life were treating me any better, I'd be suspicious of it's motives!

Cracker fish Andy.... She looks like a truck...!

Well done...

Cheers Guy
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is no where as important as being able to place it in the correct spot....!
