Bob, Mingoola is West of Tenterfield down the Bruxner Hwy

Gary, look forward to a full report over a Port. And leave "MY" bloody Fallow alone will ya, he's beat me twice and I couldn't stand the Gloating - unless of coarse it was over Fallow Tenderloin, hope no one else has Nailed him yet. Good luck with the Hunt Mate

Hows that Soul Nourishing Going ?

I can picture it now Gary - You spot "MY DEER" late Morning feeding up the Valley from atop the second Hill. He's in the middle of 40 Head of Cattle in the Midst of a light Mist - then in the middle of a 250 Yard Stalk down the Tree Lined Gully that leads to within 15 Yards of Him the Damn Wind Changes    - Wish I was there but Bloody Work is in the Way :x :x

I think you've parked your Bus near where He and the Cattle Bed Down for early Smoko under the Tree's on the Creek Line. Just sit under your Awning and wait for him to wander past. If I've had 2 cracks at him, he can't be to clever

thanks Perry I was wondering whether it might have been Mingela which is between Townsville and Charters Towers. no much game thereabouts though, apart from the odd half feral goat.

Shame the huntin' wasn't the best gazza but at least you got to spend some time out bush.

Jude and I just got back from a week away with the caravan and it sure is gettin' chilly at night in the ranges alright.

We must have been typing together Rod. I was wonderin' the same thing but when I looked again I saw what looked like cracks so perhaps it is water frozen over?

The Frozen Water in that Bowl reminded me of an earlier Hunt - Years back on that Property in preperation for the next Days Hunt I refilled my Hydration Packs 2 litre Water Bladder, put it in the back in the Ute which had a Capopy to protect from the elements. Next Morning it was as Cold as I have ever experienced and then some,we were climbing a very Steep Hill, after about 20 minutes I felt an Icy Chill running down my Spine. On investigation the Bladder had frozen solid and burst at a bottom seam and as water thawed it was running down my back

Game or no Game Gary it would have been great to get out and just spend time in the Bush. The Photo of the Sunset probably does not do justice to how Pretty it would have been.

Typical with the Goats on the other Hills when your Leaving, I'm sure they have Scouts keeping an Eye out for when you leave

Will catch up soon
