Shot Placement - Goat

anyone got a diagram?

im thinking straight up the front leg, 1/3 up the body

Sounds about right to me mate. I always like a slightly quartering away shot myself also.

Ive been glassing lots and lots lately, planning to put in some solid time stalking over the next few weeks.

I went out the other day, usuall story, goats on the far side of a massive valley, only saw them on the road home.

I did put a feral sheep out of its misery, first trad kill for me also.

Congrats on the sheep mate. As you probably saw, I got one last hunt also. If yours was in the same state as the one I got you certainly did do it a favour. I look forward to hearing of your first goat taken with your Trad gear. If you keep trying you will eventually succeed. :biggrin:

cheers Jeff, it wasnt in great shape. there was still no real joy in it.

looking back, Ive enjoyed the hunts when I stalked in close to goats the best. I wont go into the bush without my bow, but it doesnt bother me if i dont nock an arrow.
